Behind the Camera: Young Volunteers Shoot PSA at Six Degrees Exhibition Art Gallery, Naples 2008

K is for Kids® offers teens the chance to shine behind the scenes and in front of the camera!  And, in their own words, it’s all for a great cause — “bringing books to kids everywhere.”

K is for Kids® Foundation believes readers are leaders and that by encouraging today’s readers, we can inspire tomorrow’s leaders.  We offer children of all ages the chance to have their voice heard within their community, from writing books together to shooting Public Service Announcements.

Our Teen Advisory Team is the energy and inspiration behind our efforts to raise more books for kids to read.  Here they gather at Six Degrees Exhibition art gallery, formerly at the Boardwalk Shops near Tin City, to be videotaped by Steven Joyce with the help of Sean Sype.   It was an exciting day for the kids, who in their own words, shared why they were volunteering for K is for Kids® and why they felt others should join their cause.

Our appreciation goes to local authors Robert Dean Bair and M.B. Weston for coming to our event and being interviewed by two of our young volunteers.

We sincerely thank Daniel Linehan for allowing us to use his fabulous gallery that day and to his daughter for joining in with other young friends and children.

The opportunity created a memory-of-a-lifetime for all involved!
