“Big Book Giveaway” to distribute thousands of books for students on Tuesday, March 27th

Schools and nonprofits that serve high school students or advanced readers will want to sign up for K is for Kids Foundation’s “Big Book Giveaway.” More than 13,000 books will be distributed on Tuesday, March 27th at Cypress Self Storage at 7755 Preserve Lane in north Naples.  The event coincides with K is for Kids’ annual book donation to grant recipients.

The unique offering was made possible when the Book Warehouse in Estero closed its doors and donated 10,000 books to K is for Kids.  The contribution has enabled the Foundation to open the doors to all media specialists, reading coaches, education directors, etc. working with teens.  Many of the books available are for students at a high school reading level.  The books may be placed into general circulation or given directly to students.  Schools and organizations can have their own “Big Book Giveaway.”

SIGN UP by emailing [email protected], or calling 239.596.KIDS (5437) or texting 239.595.0077.

School or nonprofit media specialists or reading coaches may preview the books beginning at 11:30 am and make their selections starting at 2:30 p.m.  Cypress Self Storage will offer complimentary refreshments to participants and tours at lunchtime.

Best Buy, Bank of America, and Barnes & Noble Booksellers will provide book bags while supplies last.

Adding to the excitement, a raffle will be held for participants with a lucky winner going home with a Trader Joe’s gift basket!

For more information and to sign up,  email at [email protected] or telephone 239.596.KIDS (5437).
