Calling All Collier County Teens!!

The fun’raising season begins! Come to our Teen Advisory Team Council Meeting on Saturday, October 9th. Teens all across Collier County are making a difference in their community while getting in their community service hours for high school and college. Donate your talents and help kids power up to read and lead!

Saturday, October 9th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m at 4601 Oak Leaf Drive, Naples, Florida 34119. RSVP: Ring or text (239) 961-8455 or 595-0077; email [email protected]; or reply via our Facebook event invitation. Teen volunteers, their families, supporters and guest speakers are invited to join in!

This meeting will be geared for those teens who want to serve on the Teen Advisory Team Council, but all volunteers are invited. What does the Council do? Teens serving on the Council set the policy and guide activities for the rest of the team. These are teens who would like more hands-on experience with business planning and strategies, learning the how-to’s of success. Recent example: this summer the Council independently organized and sponsored a car wash, which accomplished three things important for an organization’s or group’s success: it offered an fun activity for team building; it met their financial goal (money raised); and it provided the opportunity for local citizens to learn about their efforts helping kids have more books to read.

So spread the word and invite a friend! This is a great way for teens to earn community service hours for high school and college, volunteer with their friends and make a difference in the community.

PARENTS & ADULTS: Supporters, community leaders and speakers are also invited. Come support the teens in their efforts to read and lead! We feature guest speakers at our meetings on a range of related topics. Please ring Karen Clawson at (239) 961-8455 or 595-0077 for more details.
