Calling all teens who are volunteering at our fun’raisers!

High school students volunteering at our fun’raiser Saturday, February 11th at Barnes & Noble:  Sign up now by registering and completing the needed forms.

WHITE T-SHIRTS ARE BEING GIVEN TO WEAR — Girls wear camisoles for underneath.

As ambassadors of our cause this is what EVERY volunteer should be able to explain to friends and guests at our fun’raiser —

There will be many awesome FREE FUN activities for children 🙂  and the teens will be helping them at every step.

Sign up now by calling Karen Clawson at 239.596.KIDS (5437) OR calling/texting 239.595.0077.  You can also email Mrs. Clawson at [email protected].

CLICK here to go to our webpage with links to the necessary forms (if you are under 18 years of age, your parent or guardian must sign the form) — https://kisforkids.org/for-teens/

We are promoting awareness about the need for children to have more books to read, both in and out of school.  This book fair helps us also to raise money so we can purchase new books for children in need throughout Collier County —

“Whether customers purchase a book or a Nook, or a coffee from the cafe’, a portion of the day’s proceeds (from midnight to midnight) will benefit K is for Kids — all the person has to do is MENTION K IS FOR KIDS AT THE CASH REGISTER.

A Bring a Book, Bring a Friend Fun’raiser, this event also helps us collect books — new and gently used books are welcome (so invite everyone to dust off their book shelves and bring a book for a child).  An extra raffle ticket will be given for each book — (a basket of books that Mayor Bill Barnett will draw for the lucky winner at the end of the day).

This event will have the following fun’raising stations set up for children — plus there are areas and activities for our teen volunteers.  Look at the flyer about the event (click here) Flyer for K is for Kids Fun’raiser and Book Fair and here on our eNews to gather more “intel” — here are some of the opportunities for you:

* Teen representative(s) —  helping other teens to sign in; checking on them at stations, etc.

* Greeters downstairs at front door — greeting guests, disseminating information, handing out strands of beads, and “directing traffic”

* Raffle tickets & book donations giving each guest one ticket; for each book donated one extra ticket

* Greeters upstairs with forms and “directing traffic”
