What happens to books donated to K is for Kids®?

Here you get a behind-the-scenes look at books being processed by members of our Teen Advisory Team who pitched in this summer to help sort all the donated books on hand.
Each book is recorded (information includes the title, type of book and value assigned), then sorted and organized by reading level.
Books, both new and gently used, are donated by local citizens throughout the year to K is for Kids®.
VIV’s (Very Important Volunteers), both teens and adults, work to keep the bounty organized before the books become safely stored awaiting distribution. Books are given to grant recipients at the end of the Foundation’s fun’raising season in early spring.
