Pinecrest Elementary School is having a Book Fair at Barnes & Noble, Waterside Shops in Naples, Saturday, January 15th. A percentage of ALL proceeds that day will help the children in Immokalee have new books to read and take home to share with their families. See also “Library Spotlight” above [orange tab]. K is for Kids® shines a light on the needs of school and community libraries as part of our mission to spread the urgent message, “Kids need more books to read!”
Following is a letter K is for Kids® received from Shirley Wallner, Media Specialist at Pinecrest Elementary School in Immokalee.
“We are having our Barnes and Noble book fair on January 15th. As most of our families do not have the financial means to shop there or even the transportation to get there, we are contacting community organizations and asking them to shop on that day. When checking out they simply have to mention that they are shopping for Pinecrest and we will obtain a small portion of the sales. There are no additional fees passed on to the patrons. If you could please place this date and event on your website it would be greatly appreciated.
