Margaret Cardillo, Author of “Just Being Audrey” is set to appear at “Kids Celebrate Reading!” Book Fair

For this special event, girls are encouraged to dress like Audrey Hepburn, which can be as simple as wearing a scarf; French twists are fun, too!  All registrants will be given a strand of free “faux pearls.”

Ms. Cardillo will read from her book and then lead a writing workshop for children of all ages. The book fair & drive, free and open to the public, will be held Saturday, February 12th (Valentine’s Day weekend) from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, Waterside Shops, Naples.   A percentage of all proceeds that day will benefit K is for Kids® Foundation and help to buy new books for children in need throughout the community.

Ms. Cardillo grew up in Naples and graduated from Barron Collier High School.  She tells K is for Kids® how excited she is to get the chance to not only meet the children, but to help them write their own stories.  K is for Kids® invites kids to put pen to paper and write a page and become young authors themselves for the third Young Authors book to be published by the Foundation.  Ms. Cardillo will provide a special “prompt” that children may choose to write about.

Keep posted for more details.
