Two K is for Kids teens took some time away from their summer break to visit the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County with Founder Karen Clawson to deliver books for children’s central library (we love how it’s grown!) and share special stories with the Club’s first grader children.
Denise and Haleigh first read “Food Fight” then “Betsy B” to first the boys, then went around to read to the girls. The teens donated the books to youngsters’ classrooms so they could hear the stories again and again. Other new books donated included classic favorites like “Curious George” and “Green Eggs And Ham.”
Afterwards the two high schoolers got a special tour of the Boys & Girls Club facilities, including, of course, the library! It’s wonderful that the kids can now check out books to take home and read, and K is for Kids is thrilled that our books are being enjoyed by so many children.
Special thanks go to the students at North Naples Middle School who again made the donation possible with their “Books for Jeans Drive” and to Mr. Brad Preston for organizing this two years in a row!
