K is for Kids Founder Receives Recognition for Children’s Literacy and Youth Leadership Programs

K is for Kids’ founder Karen D. Clawson is receiving recognition for her decade-long devotion to enriching children’s education and youth development.

Karen was recently honored as one of eleven Women of Initiative 2014 by the Community Foundation of Collier County, an award recognizing “women who through their leadership styles are an inspiration to all women seeking to make a difference through philanthropy and civic engagement”.

The stay-at-home mom who volunteers full-time guiding the young nonprofit was named one of fourteen inaugural MAKERS: Women Who Make Southwest Florida 2013.
