Palmetto Ridge High Teen Volunteer Kyle Winder Raises Bar for Student Leadership & Community Service

Palmetto Ridge High student Kyle Winder not only boosted K is for Kids’ Building Book Nooks for Kids program and will earn his Eagle Scout wings with the project, he also raised the bar for student leadership and community service for the foundation.

Kyle Winder, Palmetto Ridge High student, earns his wings as Eagle Scout by boosting K is for Kids Foundation’s Building Book Nooks for Kids program. Here he presents bookshelves he designed and built to RCMA executive director Pamela Uglietta. Kyle filled the shelves with books he personally collected.

 

Kyle designed and built six large book shelves, and collecting hundreds of to fill the shelves.

 

 

K is for Kids, whose primary volunteers ARE teens from local high schools has had students launch projects for them before.  “We’ve had teen leaders organize book drives for us in the past, but Kyle raised the bar when he not only collected 500 books for K is for Kids he also created six beautiful bookcases, and delivered them, too!”  The “wow” factor just doesn’t encompass the way this teen exemplifies how one student can make a difference for others.”
