The first four spokespersons for K is for Kids® Foundation stood before Naples City Council
to receive Mayor Bill Barnett’s award proclaiming October 2008
as the Foundation’s Bring a Book, Bring a Friend® for Children’s Literacy Month.

Then in February 2010, two more Teen Advisory Team spokespersons
again meet Mayor Bill to receive the proclamation
when the Children’s Literacy Month was moved to coincide with the ‘high season’ in Naples.
