“The Teen Illustrator Contest reveals the wealth of young talent we have here in Collier County;” said Karen Clawson, “our three judges faced tough decisions.”
Karen is the founder of K is for Kids Foundation and volunteers as its Executive Director. She is also the author of “White Moon, Purple Sea and the Underwater Circus. “This is such an exciting, creative way to help a young rising star boost their resume and build their portfolio while fulfilling K is for Kids’ mission of building readers and leaders.”
“All the entrants should be proud of their work. Also, just by entering the competition, it shows that the student is ambitious, sets high goals, and perform the ‘work’ necessary to achieve them.”
Here is the artwork submitted by the semifinalists, shown in alphabetic order by first names. Note: Some of the initial entrants in the contest did not submit entries for the next stage of the competition.
