The judges have voted and five finalists move on to the last round of judging! “This wasn’t easy,” said literary agent and contest judge, Ronnie Herman, of the Herman Agency. “The artists were so talented.”
How the artists were selected: The initial competitors’ work was judged first by K is for Kids’ own student leaders who voted on the 20 artists who would advance into the second stage, or semifinalist round, of the contest . The three judges – Ronnie Herman, Jason Kurek and Jago Silver – then selected the five finalists.
In the final round of judging, author Karen Clawson will be joining the judges to select the winner and the runner up (in the event the winner cannot complete the children’s book illustrations, the will resign and second place winner will become the artist to illustrate the book).
